Beatrice Alda has
spent much of her life in theatre and film. A graduate of Wesleyan
University, Beatrice acted in the 1981 film, "The Four Seasons",
the 1988 film,"A New Life", and the 1991 film, "Men of
Respect". She performed in many theatrical productions and
studied acting with Paul Sills, Joan Darling, and Peggy Feury,
before turning her focus towards producing and directing. Beatrice
graduated from NYU Film School in 1992. Her 28-minute, award-winning
thesis film, "Appearing Live" was selected for a special
screening at the Los Angeles Director's Guild. Beatrice took some
time off from film to have four children and to co-found and build
The Children's Museum of the East End. In 2000 Beatrice began
directing and producing short films and commercials for companies
including Second Nature Health Food Stores, and CIBC. She also
directed non-profit AIDS education commercials for CablePositive. In
2003 Beatrice co-founded Forever Films Inc. with Jennifer Brooke.
She lives and works in Sag Harbor, NY with her partner (in life and
film), Jennifer Brooke. |
